Mireille “Mydée” Dupuis is a professional painter from Gaspésie, Québec. From a young age, she participated in every art form imaginable. Today, she is based in Chandler and is committed to her craft full-time. Through her artistic explorations, you will be transported to legends and secret places she considers sacred. Having completed a DEC in Fine Arts at the Cegep de Matane and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design at UQAM and a Multimedia certificate at the Institut Demers in Longueuil, she then studied at Université Laval, with a major in Art History and a minor in Graphic Design. Lastly, she received a certificate in Art Therapy from Cegep Marie-Victorin.
Artistic approach
Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve always learned and taken inspiration from nature. From my window, I’m constantly looking at nature as if it were a painting. I spend a lot of time observing nature’s creative force, its delicate nuances revealing its inner intimate self and creating an entire universe. From color, shape is born; Then, I can insert myself in this creative force and experience it within the universe. When I’m painting, I’m not just applying color to a canvas. What matters most to me is reaching a cosmic dimension; feeling my art’s existence and harmony within the cosmos.
